Already working on 10+ powerful, creative campaigns with large non-profits and triple bottom line companies, The Soze Agency is growing quickly and in need of a dynamic and strategic Social Media Manager.
The Role: Soze’s Social Media Manager is passionate about being a storyteller and changing the world we live in. They will heavily participate and assist on several different accounts in content creation, execution, analysis and maintaining social media accounts.
They will acquire the necessary writing, copy-editing, creative thinking, analytical, tracking, reporting and leadership skills needed to execute successful, creative campaigns with prominent and emerging celebrity influencers, artists and activists. Knowledge of digital tools, social media platforms, content creation and distribution, and strong creative writing skills are preferred.

Generate, edit, publish and share engaging content daily (e.g. original text, photos, videos and news);
Draft persuasive concepts for various social media channels including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat;
Conduct research on issues, pop-culture, and trends for assigned clients;
Copy edit content for social media tailored to each platform;
Oversee social media accounts’ design (e.g. profile pics, platform cover graphics, pinned posts);
Engage directly with social media followers to develop an authentic sense of online community;
Respond to queries in a timely manner and monitor audience reviews;
Execute real-time engagement and live coverage on trending topics and have a pulse on what each target audience is engaged with;
Track data and digital performance of each assigned campaign or client account;
Track social media trends and online conversations to maximize digital strategy;
Create and deliver weekly social media reports as needed;
Perform research on current benchmark trends and audience preferences;
Implement social media strategy to align with business goals;
Set specific objectives and report on ROI;
Monitor SEO, social media analytics and web traffic metrics;
Collaborate with other teams, including creative and production, to ensure brand consistency;
Suggest and implement new features to develop brand awareness, like promotions and competitions;
Stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications.
2 to 4 years experience in similar position or field;
Demonstrated experience working in an extremely fast-paced environment;
Demonstrated ability to multitask effectively and take direction;
Strong desire to work as part of a fun, creative and entrepreneurial team in a fast paced, out-of-the-box environment;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
Strong organizational and leadership skills;
Proven track record in developing and executing a content calendar;
Knowledge and experience with social media analytics, algorithms, SEO and ad placements;
Experience in creating and delivering social media reports and performance analysis;
Keen ability to implement digital strategy, track KPIs and real-time performance;
Strong skills in real-time audience engagement and cross-channel content execution;
High-level of awareness of trends, current topics, brand recognition and levels of engagement;
Knowledge and experience with graphic design a plus;
Eagerness to learn more about social media with a commitment to social issues and creative storytelling.
TIME AND LOCATION:
Full-time position based in Brooklyn, NY
$50,000 - $60,000 (based on experience)
8% non-performance based increase after one year
10% non-performance based increase after two years
Opportunity to become an owner of the agency (we are a worker-owned cooperative)
